Re: Biofidelic Dummies

Today I talked to Dr. Dobberstein, CEO of CTS dummy-solution GmbH & Co. KG. Here some notes: Currently the PRIMUS dummy is available in two variants: "breakable" and "unbreakable" with different dynamic behaviour (due to breaking of bones). These dummies represent a 50% male....

Re: Biofidelic Dummies

Summary of the discussion of the ISO-MME taskforce meeting 2023-11-20: We looked for a group of fine locations (starting with the same character) that enables a lot of combinations. In the following the groups we discussed: - B? : B iofidelic, but this group is widely used so that there are only a f...

MME attribute for the impact point of pedestrian protection tests

I like to propose a new MME attribute for specifying the impact point of pedestrian impactors (headform, upper legform, legform). Sorry for submitting this request under the topic "Additional codes", but I didn't find a better one. Euro NCAP labels the impact points by a grid with the labe...

RibEye - physical dimension DC for the absolute position

Currently the RibEye channel codes listed on page 6/6 of "OTHER Chest Deflection Measurements" use the physical dimension DS (e.g. "??TRRILUFRWS DS Y?"). Often the channels are offset corrected, i.e. starting at 0mm at time zero. Then DS is ok. But shouldn't we use DC if the chan...

Re: Channelcodes for SUFEHM channels

Hello Dirk,

The "stress" (VM) is named after Richard von Mises. Therefore, could you please correct in the TEXT_L1 and TEXT_L2 "Van" to "von"?

Kind regards,
Sebastian

New Code (FL3) for Hybrid III Six-Year-Old Weighted Child

The Hybrid III Six-Year-Old Weighted Child Test Dummy is regulated by 49 CFR Part 572, Subpart S, but there is no ISO code defined yet. This dummy is used in CMVSS 213.4. Proposal: FL3 = "YW" I assume that all sensor loacations are the same as for the normal six-year-old dummy Y7. In this ...

Channel Codes for Active Safety Tests

Euro NCAP asked for standardized channel codes for AEB tests. Therefore, I made a proposal in the attached spreadsheet which is based on the "Test Protocol - AEB Systems, Version 1.1, June 2015" chapter 4.2. Usually much more signals are measured. Please, feel free to add codes or to propo...

Sub-folder for channel data in alternative formats

The members of the German workgroup MDVFS at their last meeting in November asked for an additional sub-folder for channel data in alternative formats (e.g. *.DAT, *.ISO). We (i.e. the ISO-MME task-force) discussed this item. In general we would like to fulfil this request but we are not sure about ...
