Hybrid III with Chinese Anthropometrie

Hi,

I got the information that CATARC in China is working on a Hybrid III with Chinese Anthropometrie. Maybe in regulation and/or consumser test in some years.
I think we have to create a FL3 for this dummy.
My Proposal: HC.

Re: Other Objects - Deformable Elements - SC-MDB & AC-MDB

Hello Dirk,

many thanks for the summary!

Yes, we will get at one day a problems with coding (like on some other points...). I think we need minimum FL1 or FL2 for a version-coding. So we can think about to use FL2 or FL1 for more information.

At the actual point I think it will be the easiest way ...

Other Objects - Deformable Elements - SC-MDB & AC-MDB

Hello,

China will introduce two new kind of Moving Deformable Barrier for Side Impact:

- AC-MDB: from CEARI for C-IASI
- SC-MDB: from CATARC for C-NCAP

We need new FL3 codes for this elements.

Proposal:
AC-MDB: DC Remark: DA is used by AE-MDB
SC-MDB: DS

ACTB Resultant with Compression Force - EuroNCAP vs. NHTSA

Hello all,

Regarding the topic "ACTB Resultant with Compression Force" https://www.iso-mme.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=574 :

The choice, when compression exists, is different between EuroNCAP and NHTSA:

EuroNCAP : Use of Fx of Accetabulum-Force
NHTSA : Use of Fz of Femur-Force

Question:
How ...

THOR: different version of Nij

Hello,

for THOR we have over the last years different definitions ofthe Nij calculation:

"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC1" with Critical force (tension or compression) in [2520/-3640] & Critical moment (flexion or extension) in [48/-72]
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC1 - cNij" with Critical force (tension or compression ...

Position for Engine

Hello,

actual is the Position for engine always 0.
BEVs can have more then one engine with decentral position.
I think it will be better to switch from "0" to "?" as position.
Furthermore the figure "Vehicle Bottom View 3 - Electric Elements" can have an update for this topic, e.g. with a 3 engine ...

Other Objects - Deformable Elements - new IIHS

Hello,

IIHS will introduce a new kind of Moving Deformable Barrier in 2023 with other specs then the actual one.

Question:
do we need a new code for this barrier?

Possibilities:
- Change Fine Location 1 from "00" to "02", because IIHS calls the new version "version 2.0"
- Change Fine Location 3 ...

Re: New fine location for special dummy for autonomous driving

Hello Dirk,

TV – THOR-AV 50M
TW – THOR-AV 5F (Woman)
for THOR AV from Humenatics this proposal is fine for me.

for your questions:
a) Will there be also other AV-Dummy in the future, that are not THOR based?
NHTSA and other dummy supplier also works on dummys for AV. I know minimum one also ...

New MainLocation for Strut Brace

Hello,

we need a new main location for the strut brace.

Proposal:

is that a specific location that is very similar on each type of vehicle or more a common term?
Can you provide some images of a typical "Sensor" used at this location?

The Charger exist in every electrical car (PHEV, BEV).
It can be everywhere at the car you ...
