Introduction and Rules

Post by derpmann »

In the draft version of MME 2.0 three new tables for the specification of a test are introduced in RED A
see Final Version documents at http://www.iso-mme.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=54

Independent from the MME 2.0 it is possible to use this tables as a first approach if they are agreed between the exchanging partners.

The three specification items are hierarchically ordered:
  1. Type of the test
highest level with the following possible values:
    • Airbag Test
    • Bumper Test
    • Car To Barrier Impact
    • Car To Car Impact
    • Component Test
    • Door Intrusion
    • Drop Test
    • Dummy Certification E2
    • Dummy Certification ER
    • Dummy Certification H3
    • Dummy Certification HF
    • Dummy Certification HM
    • Dummy Certification S2
    • Dummy Certification WS
    • Dummy Certification Y2
    • Dummy Certification Y6
    • Dummy Certification Y7
    • Frontal Impact
    • Misuse Test
    • Other
    • Pedestrian Protection
    • Pendulum Test
    • Pressure Test
    • Rear Impact
    • Rollover Rightside
    • Rollover Leftside
    • Roof Crush
    • Side Impact Leftside
    • Side Impact Rightside
    • Sled Test Frontal
    • Sled Test Rear
    • Sled Test Leftside
    • Sled Test Rightside
    • Towing Test
  2. Subtype of the Test
Dependent on the Type of test a list of possible values is allowed.
For detailed information please see the other topics in this subforum.
  3. Regulation resp. list of regulations

The rule for the regulation syntax in MME 2.0 RED A is:
For the coding of regulations the following syntax is defined:
    <RegulationName>_<RegulationSpec>_<VersionCoding>
    with
<RegulationName> Abbreviation of legal requirement or consumertest; see MME 2.0 RED A Tab. 2.20
<RegulationSpec> Number of legal requirement including alpha signs; esp. 201P (for FMVSS Rigid Pole Side Impact)
    <VersionCoding> Can be the 4digit year or a version number (e.g. for consumertests) or a combination of both or empty;
has to be agreed by the exchanging partners

Often a test is according to multiple regulations. Therefore a list of valid regulations separated by comma (ASCII 44) is possible
Possible values for the Regulation-Name are:

Code: Select all

ADR National Standard of Australia
AIS National Standard of India
CMVSS National Standard of Canada
CONTRAN National Standard of Brazil
