Redundant information?

Post by tomas.lahoz »

Greetings all,

I've began recently to prepare an implementation of this MME version for our software. I'm a bit curious about something, quite basic but I can't find the reason behind it.

In ISO_TS13499_RED_A_V2, "Test information", we have this two mandatory lines for each test object:
  • Type
  • Filename
The Type would be the test object code, <testobject>, while the filename would be <testnumber>_<testobject>. Isn't it redundant? We already have <testnumber> in the filename of the MME file, knowing the type we would know the filename of the test object and knowing that filename we would know the test object type.

I'm pretty sure there must be a reason behind this, but I can't find it. Any enlightment?

Thanks and regards,
Tomás
