Main Location ECSE (Early Crash Sensor)

Post by pfeiffge »

Dear colleagues,
the "Sensorik" team want to have a general main location for the position of Early Crash Sensors. They suggest ECSE.
In practice it's often difficult to determine the right main location and position, where the sensors are placed in the tests.
I know, we would "leave" the normal way to name the sensor location.

Dear Gerd,

there is no interference with the existing Main Locations in the database.

is the:

Code: Select all

ECSE - Early Crash Sensor - <German naming not defined>
intended to be used for frontal impact only (like Up-front sensors) or also
for side impact (satellite sensors)?
I found a image in the internet dealing with early crash sensor and other crash sensors:

2020-05-03 17_00_22-Window.png (312.93 KiB) Viewed 3487 times
Here it seems that ECSE is intended for frontal impact only?

Kind regards,
Dirk

Dear Dirk,

the new main location ECSE is intended to be used for frontal impact only (like Up-front sensors). For our purposes accelerations (AC, VO also thinkable).
