Combined Acetabulum and Iliac Peak Force in RED E

Post by Paul Wellicome »

Hi Dirk,

I'm using RED E (version 1.5 from the forum), and you have the Combined Acetabulum and Iliac Peak Force requiring subset T2. However, T2 needs a single time for the event and I'm not convinced that you can specify a time for this calculation: the two forces will peak at different times and all that the calculation does is to add them up, irrespective of when they occur. I think it should be T1 instead (analysis start and end times only).
Paul.

Hi Paul,

you first have to add the two channels and then determine the maximum of the sum channel.

Please find the explanation of IIHS for total pelvic force attached.

Bye
Dirk
