Other Objects - Deformable Elements - SC-MDB & AC-MDB

Post by bjoern.hohage »

Hello,

China will introduce two new kind of Moving Deformable Barrier for Side Impact:

- AC-MDB: from CEARI for C-IASI
- SC-MDB: from CATARC for C-NCAP

We need new FL3 codes for this elements.

Proposal:
AC-MDB: DC Remark: DA is used by AE-MDB
SC-MDB: DS

Dear Björn,

for the discussion I have listes here the current codes we have assigned for Defo Elements:
2023-03-27 10_37_49_ISO_OBJ_1_162.png
2023-03-27 10_37_49_ISO_OBJ_1_162.png (9.62 KiB) Viewed 903 times
Beside these there are no other codes starting with a "D" character in FL3:

I guess AC stands for "Advanced China"- and "SC" for "Side China"-MDB?
If we would like to stay within this naming scheme, we have available:
DC for AC-MDB (A ist already in use for AEMDB)
DS for SC-MDB

Still my concern is that we might run out of sensible combination
for characters sometimes.

As we code in general with: M0DEFO0000...
we might use in the future the "0000" part for versioning in needed?

Kind regards,
Dirk

Hello Dirk,

many thanks for the summary!

Yes, we will get at one day a problems with coding (like on some other points...). I think we need minimum FL1 or FL2 for a version-coding. So we can think about to use FL2 or FL1 for more information.

At the actual point I think it will be the easiest way to stay in the mythology.
