"Time of the test" usage in ISO 1.x

Post by DiVe »

Dear colleagues,

I realized that there is no written reference for the handling of the test time information in the version 1.x.
That is often needed and already noted in some datasets.

The current status is:

ISO 2.x:
The "Date of the test" descriptor can also hold time and time zone information:

ISO 1.x: Standard and REDs
In the official document the "Date of the test" descriptor has no time information included (see 1):

ISO 1.x: in practical use
Some datasets do already in clude the time of the test noted in the same way as in the "Timestamp" descriptor.
(see above 2)

I would like to collect feedback of the users and software providers on the handling of this information.
my intention is to document the handling of the time of the test information in the new RED A for V1.x.

In the past there has been two similar topics, but without final solution and documentation in the REDs:
From myself in 2013 (forgot about it :-))

From Oliver Schnaus in 2019

Kind regards,
Dirk
