Dear all,
based on the NHTSA document for WorldSID Dummy Certification a new coding for the RibEye displacement has been introduced:
The RibEye manual gives the following details:
Do we agree to this coding our do we propose a different coding?
The direction "L" is an expired variant that was previously used for "Steering Column".
Kind regards,
Dirk

Re: WorldSID RibEye Coding
Dear all,
the discussion in the task force at 2024_05_07 led to the following result:
We will try to contact the RibEye manufacturer and finally also NHTSA to request this change in the documentation.
the discussion in the task force at 2024_05_07 led to the following result:
- The projected change in length measurement in the XY Plane is similar to the DS0 measure of the MTRAC devices
- the coding should be changed from DSL to DS0
- The specific coding in the fine locations 01 an 02 is a good indicator that these DS0 readings are from a RibEye system
Code: Select all
old: D0SHRILEREWSDSLB -> new: D0SHRILEREWSDS0B
according to the above extract from the WS RibEye Qualification Manual
old: D0TRRILUMIWSDSLB -> new: D0TRRILUMIWSDS0B
old: D0TRRILMMIWSDSLB -> new: D0TRRILMMIWSDS0B
old: D0TRRILLMIWSDSLB -> new: D0TRRILLMIWSDS0B
We will try to contact the RibEye manufacturer and finally also NHTSA to request this change in the documentation.
