Testobject reference in movie and static info file

Post by wuelfing »

While mapping the ISO-MME standard to a database the testobject reference seems to be missing in the
moving image information file and the static measurement data file, whereas the photo information file has this reference as a mandatory field descriptor.

Comparing ISO-MME 1.x with ISO-MME 2.0 regarding the the testobject reference.

Photo information file
ISO-MME 1.x, OK, by field descriptor 'Test object number'
ISO-MME 2.0, OK, by field descriptor 'Testobject'

Movie information file
ISO-MME 1.x, missing testobject reference
ISO-MME 2.0, still missing the testobject reference

Static measurement data file
ISO-MME 1.x, OK, by file extension
ISO-MME 2.0, missing testobject reference

Maybe it is helpfull to add a testobject reference to any data and information file wherever it makes some sense?

Another reference which might be helpfull, seems to add an optional dummy reference (e.g. by the 'seating position') to at least the photo and movie information file, whereas the channel data has this reference information by the channel code?

Hello,

Photo information file
The testobject reference is existing.

Moving Image information file
The missing testobject reference is several times discussed in the past.
The conclusion up to now was to don't connect a movie to a single testobject,
because in most cases more than one testobject is seen in a movie.
For example impactor D, vehicle 1 and testrig T or
mobile barrier M and vehicle 1.

Static measurement data file
The testobject reference is given by the Reference system id in the second column.
This id encodes the testobject in its first position (see RED A 2.3).
For static measurement data of testobject 1 the Reference system id is 1ST .
