Number of Samples: 0 VALID?

Hello guys,

so far I haven't found anything in the ISO which specifically forbids zero samples in a channel file.
Is
Number of Samples: 0
valid?

(The question is not if it's making any sense).

Hello Thomas,
the value 0 for number of samples is valid.
It is necessary if a measurement failed and you have to transport the header information
especially for the data status with the error information.
