Has anyone heard discussion regarding a standard name for the LODC dummy?
Perhaps if a Q10 is represented as QA, LODC could be OA?

Re: LODC Large Omnidirectional Child
Hi Nate,
good to see you here in the forum.
I searched the web to have some information here: In my opinion "OA" could be mixed with "QA". I would prefer a clear visual difference.
The dummy is based on some HIII parts, but I would call it a total different dummy design.
So we should not code starting with "H".
Question is, if we should expect more dummies for different ages to come?
To have some proposals to start the discussion:
OA = Omnidirectional Child 10 Year (your proposal, in principle good coding, but close to QA)
OC = Omnidirectional Child (but also OC-Joint, no age included)
MA = Multidirectional Child 10 Year (not Omni, but similar)
Do you have alternative proposals?
Could you already supply a list of measurement locations for this dummy?
Bye,
Dirk

Re: LODC Large Omnidirectional Child
Hi Dirk,
Thanks for the warm welcome and input. I agree possibilities for O/Q make it less desirable, and I am happy with your MA suggestion. To be clear I am not involved in the development or testing of the dummy, and am only working from data acquisition and data quality standpoint. I'd love for all customers to have consistent ISO naming, for their sake and mine!
For the time being I will recommend MA. Up until I saw the data they had been using H3, so this will be an improvement.
The data I have seen from the dummy is 26 channels...
Head Acceleration X,Y,Z
Head Angular Velocity X,Y,Z
Upper Neck Force X,Y,Z
Upper Neck Moment X,Y,Z
Lower Neck Force X,Y,Z
Lower Neck Moment X,Y,Z
Abdominal Pressure Left/Right
Lumbar Force X,Y,Z
Lumbar Moment X,Y,Z
Pelvis Acceleration X,Y,Z
Talk to you soon!

Re: LODC Large Omnidirectional Child
Dear Nate,
we have discussed the topic and will reserve the "MA" code for Fine Location 3.
I will introduce the common codes soon in the database (Possible Channels).
Here it will be helpful to have a list of the "Standard Instrumentation" for this dummy.
All other measurements will then be listed as "Additional Instrumentation".
Kind regards,
Dirk

Dear All,
there is new input from the TF meeting from 2024-03-26 from Cellbond.
Please find the presentation here:

Status:
a) The codes will be added to the database with TOBSP = ?? and without filter characters.
Like:
b) A figure should be generated. Based on the Q10 figure!?

- Should the chest deflection be coded as DSX (1D MTRAC) or as DS0?
- Are there no measurement options on the legs?
