Peter, I cannot see any reference to this in the Humanetics user manual, can you show me where the upper and lower iliac loadcells go?derpmann wrote:Hello Paul,
instead of the location ILAC LE/RI 00 S2 FO Y it is possible to use the two components
ILAC LE/RI UP S2 FO Y and
ILAC LE/RI LO S2 FO Y.
Best regards

Hello Paul,
the two channel version of the iliac loadcell for the S2 is very new. It is developed for AUDI and ordered by VW.
But up to now we don't have a documentation. The Humanetics manual is not yet updated.
We have to ask Humanetics directly.

Hello colleagues,
I have just asked Humanetics for the availability. And the measurement exists. I see one problem also related to the ASIS load cell to be found at several H3 dummies. Also here we have coded with ILAC LE/RI UP/LO, but for sure with FOX direction. But ILAC means ILIAC CREST or in German "Darmbeinkamm". And that is the upper part of the Ilium.
So I could imagine the lower measurement could be named ILUMLO but not ILACLO ?
"See" you to tomorrow,
Dirk

The standard loadcells at the iliac are build with 4 strain gauges each which measure
the force in Y direction on the left resp. right side of the S2.
Humanetics will offer a variation where the two front and the two rear strain gauges
will produce separate signals.
This will be achieved only by a change in the electrical components of the transducer.
The sum of the two new signals represents the same signal as the standard loadcell.
Therefore I propose the following codes:
Left side of the dummy
the force in Y direction on the left resp. right side of the S2.

Left side of the dummy
- ??ILACLE00S2FOY? for the standard loadcell
- ??ILACLEFRS2FOY? for the front part of the two channel loadcell
- ??ILACLERES2FOY? for the rear part of the two channel loadcell
- ??ILACRI00S2FOY? for the standard loadcell
