New Code (FL3) for Hybrid III Six-Year-Old Weighted Child
Posted: Mon Sep 12, 2016 12:14 pm
by Sebastian Rings
The Hybrid III Six-Year-Old Weighted Child Test Dummy is regulated by 49 CFR Part 572, Subpart S, but there is no ISO code defined yet.
This dummy is used in CMVSS 213.4.
Proposal: FL3 = "YW"
I assume that all sensor loacations are the same as for the normal six-year-old dummy Y7. In this case we would not need an additional figure but we should give a hint on the Y7 figure.

decision of the TaskForce:
new dummy code is YW
the Y7 figure will get a note like the E2 (ER) figure
the possible channel codes are copied from the Y7

Dear colleagues,
according to the decision on the last meeting (2017-09-13) I have:
- added YW as FL3 code
- copied all codes from the Y7 dummy to YW dummy in possible channels table
next step will be to add a comment to the Y7 figure for the YW alternative in coding.
Kind regards,
Dirk

Dear colleagues,
I have now updated the figures and included the "YW" in the headline and a footnote.
Please find attached a PDF version.
Figures will be part of the DB version 1.6.2 Proposal 2 and released in the next days
within RED C.
Kind regards,
Dirk
