Hello,
for THOR we have over the last years different definitions ofthe Nij calculation:
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC1" with Critical force (tension or compression) in [2520/-3640] & Critical moment (flexion or extension) in [48/-72]
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC1 - cNij" with Critical force (tension or compression) in N [3216/-4227] & Critical moment (flexion or extension) in Nm [67/-94]
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC2" with Critical force (tension or compression) in [4200/-6400] & Critical moment (flexion or extension) in [88.1/-117]
"NHTSA Injury Criteria Sept'2020" with Critical force (tension or compression) in [4200/-4520] & Critical moment (flexion or extension) in [60/-79.2]
How to handle this to have unique channel names for all of this calculations? I think that when you have a new calculation you need a new channel name to document the calculation procedure.
Our internal proposal - we create new main locations:
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC1" -> NIJC
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC1 - cNij" -> CNIJ
"NHTSA US-NCAP RfC2" -> NIJ2
"NHTSA Injury Criteria Sept'2020" -> NIJ3
Björn
PS.: in the moment inside 13499 - 1.6.2:
NICF Calculation NIC Load Duration 1.3
NICR Calculation NIC, Rear Impact 1.3
NIEF Calculation Neck Injury Criterion ENCAP 1.4
NKMC Calculation Nkm Criterion 1.6
NIJC Calculation Nij Criterion 1.3

Re: THOR: different version of Nij
People go back and ask the specialists in their surroundings.
Björn Hohage proposes NIJ3 because it resembles the ecosystem he needs it for.
Other suggestions are sought after.

Re: THOR: different version of Nij
Dear colleagues,
as dicussed on the last meeting I have now prepared in the "Possible Channels Table" in the database the code variants for the different NIJ intercepts that have been published over the time.
Details are given in the table in the "Remarks" column.
Please inspect the attached image. Any comments are welcome.
In RED B these codes will appear now at the end of the TH section like this: Kind regards,
Dirk
