Euro NCAP Draft for Naming convention

Post by Klaas »

Hello Everyone,

as discussed in the meeting, Adriano Palao from Euro NCAP proposed an update of the naming convention for Euro NCAP tests.
He kindly shared his thoughts with us in search for input. I put his presentation with his thoughts here for reviev and lively discussion.

Hello,

here are some ideas and remarks to the propoal of Euro NCAP to integarte the attibutes in ISO13499 RED F.

There are some new proposals for MME attributes:

Code: Select all

.Nom. Heading test object X
.Pos. Offset test object X
.Striking point TO X
.Overlap VUT to TO X
But also differences in naming which should be harmonized:

Code: Select all

.Dimension of test object X
.Dimensions test object X
Please see the slides or teh discussion in TF MME active safety for details:

Dear Mr. Washausen,

I would agree that an abbreviation for "test object" will improve the readability of the descriptors.
Leaving more space for relevant words and characters.

I would propose to use "TOB" as abbreviation instead of TO.

Kind regards,
Dirk

to TOB instead of TO.
I have also added more details in definition of ".Nominal Heading TOB X".
