Dear Mr Washausen,
my concern is, that it will not be clear which value belongs to which device without further
information.
Just another idea for the discussion:
Can we use descriptors with "counters" and add the information on the related device?
Like:
Code: Select all
Nominal vel. test object X :18.889
Nominal vel. test object Xa:15.050
Some ideas on how to provide additional information on the related device:
A) via a separate descriptor
- several descriptors to transport the combined information
Code: Select all
12345789012345678901234567890
Nominal vel. test object X :18.889
Nominal vel. X device :speed limiter
Nominal vel. test object Xa:15.050
Nominal vel. Xa device :CCRb
B) via an additional text behind the value
- migth interfere with existing import routines.
- will group the information
Code: Select all
12345789012345678901234567890
Nominal vel. test object X :18.889 {speed limiter}
Nominal vel. test object Xa:15.050 {CCRb}
With the parallel discussed idea of changing "test object" to TOB in the descriptor naming
we might also gain some space to have other options?
C) by modifying the descriptor name
- Will group information
- limited space for descriptive device text
Code: Select all
12345789012345678901234567890
Nominal vel. TOB X speedlim:18.889
Nominal vel. TOB Xa CCRb :15.050
Kind regards,
Dirk
